Microsoft Declares Regular Quarterly Dividend on Preferred Shares

Redmond, Washington, March 10, 1997 — Microsoft Corporation’s Board of Directors announced that it had declared the quarterly dividend of $0.549 per share to holders of record on March 3, 1997 of its 2-3/4% Convertible Exchangeable Principal-Protected Preferred Shares, Series A. The dividend will be paid on March 17, 1997.

In December 1996, Microsoft issued $1 billion of Convertible Exchangeable Principal-Protected Preferred Shares.
