Retail Banking Application Developers Recognized as Winners In Microsoft Industry Solution Awards

NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 4, 1997 — Microsoft Corp. today announced three winners of its annual Industry Solution Awards (ISA) at the Bank Administration Institute’s Retail Delivery ’97 Conference in New Orleans.

Mike Dusche, worldwide banking industry marketing manager at Microsoft, presented the awards at a ceremony held at the conference. “These winners represent the best of the best solutions available to financial institutions,” Dusche said. “And these winning solutions demonstrate how Microsoft® Windows NT® Server and the Microsoft SQL Server
™
database can be used as the basis for powerful, flexible, scalable computer systems that help banks better serve their customers.”

Following are the winners in the three ISA categories specific to retail delivery systems.

Best Banking by Phone Solution – Alltel Call Center Workstation

Alltel Call Center Workstation (CCW) automates the customer service and sales functions for bank call centers. CCW handles a wide variety of banking processes and transactions and is specifically designed for call-center agents.

Award Winners Selection Committee

Microsoft Industry Solution awards are designed to recognize developers of software applications in retail banking.
