Microsoft HomeAdvisor Announces Tighter Integration Throughout MSN

REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 7, 1998 — The MSN
™HomeAdvisor™ online real estate service, the first comprehensive guide to finding homes and loans on the Web, today announced expanded distribution and tighter integration throughout the MSN network of Internet products and services. As the featured real estate site for Microsoft and MSN, HomeAdvisor has been newly integrated into the MSN network of Internet services ( http://MSN.com/ ), which makes it easier for consumers to keep in touch, stay informed and get more done online.

This announcement further expands the category-leading reach of HomeAdvisor throughout the Internet, following deals with Yahoo! Inc., GeoCities, Infoseek Corp. and others over the past two months. HomeAdvisor is now distributed among eight of the leading Internet sites.

“Our category-leading distribution, combined with innovative programs such as BrokerFirst, provides real estate brokers on HomeAdvisor with an unprecedented opportunity to market their products and services to online home buyers everywhere,”
said Ian Morris, group product manager for HomeAdvisor at Microsoft.
“Our deep integration with MSN will give our listings providers the highest level of exposure available anywhere, making HomeAdvisor an invaluable service, helping Realtors sell more homes faster.”

Existing HomeAdvisor-affiliated real estate brokers and mortgage lenders are already seeing new leads and successful sales as a result of their participation with Microsoft.
“Our relationship with HomeAdvisor has led to more leads for our agents and higher traffic to our Web site,”
said Barbara Corcoran, president of The Corcoran Group.
“Microsoft has used its technical expertise and resources to build a powerful consumer real estate site that is bringing lots of customers to our properties. HomeAdvisor is fast becoming an integral part of our success.”
