Proxicom and Microsoft Form Strategic Alliance To Help Global Customers Build Their Business Internet

RESTON, Va., Feb. 29, 2000 — Proxicom Inc. (Nasdaq: PXCM), a leading Internet consulting and e-business development company, and Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT), today announced a strategic alliance that will provide resources for joint customer programs, product training and early access to Microsoft® technologies. The agreement enables Proxicom to accelerate the adoption and deployment of innovative, Microsoft-based e-commerce solutions that deliver business value and competitive advantage to Proxicom’s customers worldwide.

This alliance designates Proxicom as one of a select number of e-commerce service providers with Microsoft.

Under this alliance, Proxicom will deliver business-to-business and business-to-employee (corporate intranet) services based on the Microsoft Windows® DNA platform, to its key clients. Proxicom will also work with customers to rapidly develop and deploy customized wireless solutions using Microsoft COM+ technologies.

Windows DNA. Microsoft personnel will assist Proxicom in knowledge transfer, solutions architecture and practice development activities. In addition, Proxicom will participate in direct Microsoft support during customer engagements as well as direct access to Microsoft Early Adopter and Rapid Deployment programs on new and emerging products and technologies.
