Microsoft Acknowledges Error in Host Integration Server 2000 Release

REDMOND, Wash., May 22, 2000 — Microsoft Corp. today acknowledged an error in its April 26, 2000, press release regarding Host Integration Server 2000 beta 2. The error is in a statement about the bidirectional replication capabilities between Oracle and Microsoft® SQL Server™
.

Text in the body of the release says,
“Host Integration Server 2000 is the only product available on the market today that provides this type of functionality.”
Microsoft has been notified of other companies that offer this functionality. For example, DataMirror Corp. of Toronto offers such functionality in its Transformation Server product line. Microsoft hereby retracts the statement and acknowledges its error.
