AGOURA HILLS, Calif., and REDMOND, Wash., July 10, 2000 — RealtyOnline.Net Inc. and Microsoft Corp. today announced a plan to enhance the performance and integration of one of the Web’s leading real estate data aggregator and listing services. RealtyOnline.Net will offer Web-based business-to-business real estate services utilizing the latest Microsoft® Windows® DNA platform-based technologies, including the Windows 2000 Advanced Server operating system and Microsoft SQL Server™
7.0, as well as native load balancing, clustering, online analytical processing (OLAP) and the Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0. That combination will give RealtyOnline.Net increased reliability and scalability, along with the benefits of single-source platform support.

To support the commitments in development and deployment, RealtyOnline.Net will build a team of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers and Microsoft Certified Solution Developers. In addition, Microsoft Consulting Services personnel will assist RealtyOnline.Net in knowledge transfer, solutions architecture and practice development activities as well as engage the Microsoft Premier Support organization to provide direct Microsoft support during client projects.

“RealtyOnline.Net has continued to utilize Microsoft products and tools to enhance business-to-business online real estate services based on the Windows DNA platform,”
said Peter Boit, vice president of U.S. e-business solutions at Microsoft.
“We are excited to work with RealtyOnline.Net to help expand its e-business performance and enable enhanced service and relationship-building through the power of innovative Web-based solutions.”

Windows DNA 2000 is Microsoft’s platform for rapidly building and deploying next-generation e-commerce, line-of-business and Web solutions that easily integrate with customers, partners and existing applications. In addition to Windows 2000, other components of the Windows DNA 2000 platform include Microsoft SQL Server, the BizTalk™ 2000 Server, Commerce Server 2000, Application Center 2000, Host Integration 2000, Exchange 2000 and the Visual Studio® development system — all best-of-breed products that utilize the deepest developer talent pool and third-party market in the industry.

Microsoft products and technologies play a critical role in the majority of RealtyOnline.Net’s services and enable the company to expand services to its customers. Microsoft desktop and server products are utilized in 100 percent of RealtyOnline.Net projects and client relations.

“RealtyOnline.Net is a data-management company that provides access to more than 2 million properties. RealtyOnline.Net’s business concept is to provide a one-stop shop where consumers, professionals and businesses can find real estate products,”

“We provide a system that is quick, simple and easy to use. The success of our system was made possible through the utilization of the Microsoft platform and development tools. Rapid development and a highly maintainable infrastructure have yielded great efficiency in our technical endeavors. We are a Microsoft-only shop and are convinced that Microsoft products are the best available.”

RealtyOnline.Net uses the Microsoft Windows DNA platform on all its internal desktops. This standardization includes the use of Windows 2000, the BackOffice® family suite, Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition, Visual Studio 6.0, the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft Exchange Server for global messaging and collaboration. The companies are working together to provide a technology and service solution package that includes high-performance database clustering with SQL Server 7.0 (moving to SQL Server 2000), distributed load balancing and transaction coordination, and OLAP.
