Microsoft WebTV Networks and Oakland Raiders Team Up To Create Kids Corner

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 26, 2000 — Following the Microsoft WebTV Networks Inc. donation of more than 1,000 tickets for the Raiders vs. Broncos game, WebTV Networks and the Oakland Raiders today announced their plans to launch the Microsoft® WebTV® Kids Corner. WebTV Networks will purchase 500 tickets for each home game and donate them to middle schools in Alameda County, giving thousands of children the opportunity to attend a Raiders game.

The tickets will be donated to the Alameda School District and will be distributed by each school’s principal. Students with top attendance records will be rewarded with the opportunity to attend one of the remaining home games and sit in the WebTV Kids Corner. Attendees will also receive a
“goody bag,”
which includes an official Raiders-Microsoft WebTV Kids Corner T-shirt. Several Oakland Raiders players will visit some of the participating schools.

“The Raiders are committed to providing the young people of Alameda County with the opportunity to enjoy NFL football — Raiders style,”
said Bruce Allen, senior assistant of the Oakland Raiders.
“We believe that our relationship with Microsoft WebTV will help thousands of kids become better citizens in the future.”

“After the first game, we received such heartfelt letters from the kids thanking us for the tickets that we just had to do it again,”
said Joe Poletto, vice president of Microsoft WebTV Networks.
“We’re taking it one step further and teaming up with the Raiders to provide a kids corner so the students can all sit together and meet the players.”
