MedUnite Selects Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA As a New Platform to Develop and Deploy Its HIPAA Transaction Solutions

REDMOND Wash., and SAN DIEGO, Feb. 25, 2002 — Microsoft Corp. and MedUnite Inc., an independent full-service technology firm founded by seven of the nation’s leading health plans, today announced that MedUnite has selected the Microsoft® BizTalk™
Accelerator for HIPAA to provide HIPAA transaction standard support for its real-time and batch, Internet and EDI-based solution that empowers providers and payers to electronically process administrative transactions such as patient eligibility, claims submission and claims status inquiry.
