Microsoft Invites Partners to Submit Best Customer Solutions for Awards

REDMOND, Wash., Aug. 6, 2003 — Microsoft Corp. today welcomed its worldwide partners to submit entries for the Microsoft 2003 Partner Awards, which honor partners for their outstanding customer solutions that optimize Microsoft technologies.

Open to all Microsoft Certified Partners and Microsoft Business Solutions Partners, the awards are intended to recognize partners’ most successful implementations of a Microsoft product at a customer site or the successful use of Microsoft technology in a development capacity. Winners in 16 categories will be announced at a cocktail reception Oct. 9, the opening night of the three-day Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2003 in New Orleans. Microsoft will acknowledge all award finalists at the conference’s general session, and the winning partners’ projects will be profiled during conference keynote sessions.

Microsoft partners can review the awards criteria and submit their entries using an online form , which is available through Sept. 3; no entries will be accepted after that date. Awards categories are as follows:

  • Business Intelligence Solution of the Year

  • Collaborative Solution of the Year

  • CRM Reseller of the Year

  • CRM Solution Developer of the Year

  • Data Management Solution of the Year

  • ERP Reseller of the Year

  • ERP Solution Developer of the Year

  • Infrastructure Solution of the Year

  • Integration Solution of the Year (EAI)

  • Internet Business Solution of the Year

  • Microsoft CTEC Solution of the Year

  • Security Solution of the Year

  • Small-Business Solution of the Year

  • Software Asset Management Advocate of the Year

  • .NET Application of the Year

  • .NET Packaged Application of the Year

In each category, Microsoft will select one partner per region – Asia, South Pacific; Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa; Latin America; North America; and Western Europe – as finalists and announce them in late September. Finalists will receive publicity from Microsoft, marketing kits to help promote their accomplishments, medals to be worn at the Worldwide Partner Conference and invitations to the awards reception.

This year’s Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference combines the best elements of two previous events – Fusion, for Microsoft Certified Partners, and Stampede, for Microsoft Business Solutions Partners – to provide even more valuable and informative learning opportunities in leadership, sales, marketing, services and technology. More than 5,500 partner representatives from around the world are expected to attend the Oct. 9-11 conference.
