Video Q&A: Microsoft’s Bill Veghte Discusses New Role with Company and Insight into the New Organization

REDMOND, Wash., Feb. 20, 2008 – Nearly a week after Microsoft announced a series of executive promotions, PressPass spends some time with Bill Veghte, one of the less publicly known executives recently given an expanded role with the company. Veghte’s new role as senior vice president of the Online Services & Windows Business Group adds overseeing three new divisions to his existing responsibility running the Windows client business. With his promotion to senior vice president, Veghte now also oversees business strategy, marketing and sales for Windows Live, MSN and Search. Additionally, he continues to share responsibility for OEM sales.

In the interview, Veghte shares how he came to Microsoft more than 17 years ago and how that journey defined his experience and background.
