The Biggest Stage Is Set for Industry Innovation

REDMOND, Wash. – April 16, 2010 – Efficiency. Innovation. Sustainability. These will be three hot topics that will be ubiquitous in conversations and technology demonstrations next week in Germany at Hannover Messe. This is THE event where companies from all over the world gather to showcase the latest in industrial and manufacturing technology.

Microsoft, along with its partners, will be on hand to demonstrate the latest innovations within the Windows Embedded family of products that help drive more efficient business models so companies can place a greater focus on delivering choice and value to customers. Participating partners include Siemens, Beckhoff, RWE AG, Iconics, Online Developments Inc. and Elbacom.

More than 75 percent of attendees last year indicated in a survey that they want to invest in new and improved technologies, and come to Hannover Messe to experience the broad range of automation technology. When people say that Hannover Messe is the world’s largest international industrial technology event, they aren’t kidding. If you’re not familiar with this show, then you probably aren’t aware of its magnitude. Here’s a by-the-numbers look to help put it in perspective:
