Media Alert: Microsoft at 2011 CES Keynote Address and Show Information

Additional content, including images and videos, will post at 7:30 p.m.

Following are some important notes regarding security at the Microsoft keynote event:

  • Members of the media and analysts carrying bags into the keynote event will be asked to present their badges; bags will be subject to search.

  • Still cameras will be allowed for credentialed photographers, but camera bags are subject to search and will be checked before photographers enter the keynote auditorium; flash photography will be permitted for the first minute only.

  • Broadcast crews will not be allowed to set up video cameras at the keynote event; only recording decks are permitted. An audio-video mult box will be provided. Broadcasters planning to plug into the mult box must contact webroadcast@waggeneredstrom.com to make arrangements before the event.

  • No live broadcasting or webcasting of the keynote address, or rebroadcasting of the keynote address in its entirety, will be allowed.

Microsoft Booth Activities:

Microsoft Corp.’s state-of-the-art booth will showcase the latest consumer technology from the company and product newsmakers, and demonstrate how they fit within Microsoft’s vision for connected experiences.

Jan. 6-9, 2011

  • Walk-and-talk interviews and demos. Craig Beilinson, director of consumer products at Microsoft, will be available for interviews on Thursday, Jan. 6, in Microsoft’s booth.

  • Private booth tours. Microsoft and partner products will be on display.

  • Product footage to capture. Products and demonstrations including Kinect for Xbox 360, Windows Phone 7, hot new PCs and other new technologies will be available for capturing b-roll video.

  • Unique bird’s-eye view of show floor. Shoot look-lives and stand-ups from the second-story Microsoft broadcast platform, giving viewers a bird’s-eye view of the show floor.
