Windows Embedded Partner Program Introduces New Benefits to OEM Partners

REDMOND, Wash. — June 13, 2011 —If you’ve been reading the feature stories in the Windows Embedded Newsroom, you won’t be surprised when we say that we love our partners. Whether they’re in automotive, manufacturing, retail, healthcare or any of the other industries that benefit from embedded technology — they are the lifeblood of our business. Because of this, we are always happy when we can announce something that will benefit them in new ways.

Now, for the first time, embedded device manufacturers and solution providers around the world who join the Windows Embedded Partner Program (WEPP) can go to market with Microsoft to increase their reach and accelerate their growth. Support for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and solution providers now includes product marketing resources, go-to-market customizable marketing materials, market development funding and other new product marketing resources.

WEPP has been enhanced with benefits that are tailor-made for embedded device manufacturers and solution providers. Many of these new benefits are available at all levels, with increasing benefits for those who earn Gold or Silver membership levels.

Members at all levels can take advantage of benefits that include the following:

  • Promotion through Microsoft case studies

  • Inclusion in the Windows Embedded device gallery

  • Industry-specific customizable go-to-market materials

  • Product training and marketing resources

  • “Powered by” Windows Embedded logo program

Embedded device manufacturers and solution providers who earn Gold or Silver membership levels can also take advantage of the following:

  • Integration in Microsoft campaigns

  • Joint sales calls

  • Market development funds

  • A partner account manager

  • Networking opportunities

All of this is in addition to the great support WEPP already provides to partners of all types, depending on their program level, including the following:

  • Affiliation with Microsoft through the Windows Embedded Partner logo

  • Promotion on Microsoft.com through Partner Directory profiles

  • Stay up to date with the monthly Partner Update newsletter

  • Access to the Partner Resource Center for marketing tools and resources

Mark Bunney, director of strategic alliances at ParTech, a WEPP Silver Partner, says, “By making the enhanced sales and marketing benefits of the Windows Embedded Partner Program available to OEM partners, Microsoft gives us a great opportunity to jointly promote and win new customers with our embedded solutions.”

“Participating in the Windows Embedded Partner Program gives us a competitive advantage in the market,” says Dave Dooley, Sales and Marketing Director at Box Technologies in the U.K. “It greatly increases our visibility with enterprise customers and assures them that we’re an experienced and trustworthy embedded solutions provider.”
