Singapore, 10 February 2016 – Microsoft today announced the appointment of Mr Dave Miller as its new Developer Experience (DX) Lead for Asia Pacific (APAC), based in Singapore.

In his new role, Mr Miller will lead the DX team to enable technical professionals, start-ups, students and enthusiasts to deliver rich solutions and great experiences through the Microsoft platform and impact the industries they are part of. Through broad marketing and evangelism programs, his team helps to equip the technical community with the latest technical resources to elevate their skills in the use of key Microsoft platform technologies.

Mr Miller joins Microsoft Asia Pacific after eight successful years in the U.S, at the company’s global headquarters, where was involved in various marketing and corporate communications leadership roles. He most recently led the DX Windows Apps team to help drive commercial and consumer Independent Software Vendor (ISV) adoption of Windows 10. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr Miller was in the consumer marketing team at Dell. He began his career in consulting with Accenture and Deloitte, before spending time at a start-up.

“As we shift to a world in which technology is not just increasingly pervasive, but is also increasingly invisible, the user experience needs to be supported by a robust ecosystem of applications and a strong developer community. The demographics, rapid urbanization and fast growth of the Asia Pacific region offers us the perfect opportunity to be the platform to empower the community to innovate to help themselves and others achieve more,” said Miller.

Mr Miller holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is a father of four, and enjoys running, hoops, traveling and being outdoors in his spare time.
