Microsoft gives students the power of cloud with Student Advantage

Students at eligible educational institutions will soon be able to access the full version of Office, Microsoft’s productivity suite, in the cloud, for no additional cost.

From December, any institution worldwide that licenses Office for staff and faculty can provide access to Office 365 ProPlus for students giving them the ability to access full Office functionality wherever they are, including accessing assignments in shared workspaces, and editing of Word, PowerPoint and Excel anywhere, across virtually any device. Today, more than 35,000 institutions are automatically eligible.

Birkenhead Sixth Form College has also announced that it chosen Microsoft Office 365 for Education to replace Google Apps in a drive to support flexible working, anytime and anywhere. The college can now offer students and staff alike an efficient means of communicating and collaborating more efficiently whatever their location and working pattern.
