Windows 10: It’s time to #UpgradeYourWorld

Today marks a significant step towards an era of more personal computing, as we release Windows 10 to the world. Windows 10 is now available across 190 countries as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and 8.1 devices, as well as with new PCs and tablets.

With Windows 10 we’ve taken an entirely unique approach to enhancing the world’s most popular operating system to help fulfil our vision of empowering people to do great things. Apart from the free upgrade, we’ve built Windows with feedback from more than five million customers and delivered it as a service, so it’s always kept up-to-date.

And we’re bringing Windows 10 to the broadest range of devices, including PCs, tablets, phones, Raspberry Pi, Xbox One, and more, with one personal experience that transcends across all Windows 10 devices.

  • Cortana – set your own personal reminders and get updates on your favourite things with the Cortana digital assistant.
  • Microsoft Edge – mark-up and share web pages, and get a cleaner view of the Web with the all-new fast Edge browser.
  • Xbox integration – play games streamed directly from your Xbox One to your Windows 10 tablets or PCs, and capture, share and edit your best gaming moments with the new Xbox app

We’re also kicking off a yearlong initiative to celebrate people and organisations making a difference around the world, and you can get involved and share how you’re impacting your community using #UpgradeYourWorld.
