As you may have previously seen on the blog, this year Microsoft has partnered with The Guardian to showcase the stories and success that our technology has helped to achieve in education across the UK. Back in January we highlighted the Microsoft Partner Zone, which features a range of articles from our educator community which explore how Microsoft technology has impacted the way they teach and their students learn.
Over the past months we have seen pieces from members of the #MIEExpert community, including Tom Rees, Jonathon Bishop, Charlotte Beckhurst and Alex Eeles, as well as some great articles written by freelance journalist Gerald Haigh and an interview with educational researcher and winner of the 2013 TED Prize, Sugata Mitra. You can also find these pieces in our monthly edtech e-magazine, #TheFeed.
Alongside this, the leadership hub ran with independent articles from the journalists, which gave a non-biased insight into our latest and greatest solutions. Nevertheless, in recent months we have taken this one step further by also supported The Guardian’s School Leadership and Management Hub.
The School Leadership and Management Hub looks at current topics and challenges that are faced by head teachers and educators. Currently on the hub, you will find articles which look at how wellbeing should be managed in schools to ensure healthy staff and students, what we can learn from an amazing turnaround of German schools and Anna Isaac‘s piece which looks at the challenges faced in head teacher recruitment.
