General Manager of Consumer Channels Group (CCG)

Mark is the General Manager of the Consumer Channels Group Business, and has overall responsibility for Microsoft’s Consumer Channels Group in the UK. CCG brings together Microsoft’s Retail, OEM, mobile operator and distribution partners into one organisation and is the single point of accountability for all of the UK subsidiary consumer and product partner activity across Windows PC, Surface & Tablets, Windows Phone, Xbox & Entertainment and Office.

Mark joined Microsoft in October 2013 after running his own consultancy, advising technology companies on their consumer strategy and execution. He brings with him a wealth of experience in various leadership roles in and outside of the UK, from being a commercial VP at GlaxoSmithKline to General Manager of Nokia UK & Ireland and President of PACE International, a TV and Broadband technology company. Mark is passionate about technology and consumers and has seen how technology can change lives as well as revolutionise whole industries and even countries. Mark believes the next few years will be an incredible journey for Microsoft as the rate of technology innovation will only get faster and feels very proud to be joining the UK subsidiary at a pivotal moment in Microsoft’s history. Mark has a BA and Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and in his spare time enjoys travelling, watching most sports, trying to keep fit and playing with one of his many devices.
