Microsoft Surface Pro Launches in Hong Kong

The Surface family represents amazing value and choice, meeting customer needs for balancing both work and play

HONG KONG, 17 May 2013 — Microsoft Hong Kong today announced the launch of Surface Pro, making it the newest model of the Surface family available in Hong Kong. With a starting retail price of HK$7,088, Surface Pro will be available for purchase at designated stores of two major retailers, namely Fortress and Suning.

“Surface combines the best of a tablet and a PC. With expectations of massive global sales, Surface Pro joins the Surface family in Hong Kong to help users balance both work and play,” said Horace Chow, General Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong. “We are also pleased to introduce a new retail partner in Hong Kong. With Fortress and Suning, users can experience and purchase Surface devices in more places than ever before.”

Surface is an extension of the Windows experience, letting customers work, play and connect with the people who matter to them. It features an ultra-light, durable casing and an integrated kickstand and cover that allow customers to be productive anywhere, as well as a full-sized USB port and microSDXC card slot for adding additional storage and a 16:9 widescreen high-definition display that makes it optimal for viewing and sharing content easily. With such incredible features, Surface lets customers easily transition between entertainment and creation.

Surface Pro is comparable to a full-blown Windows laptop that boasts tablet capabilities. For the first time, customers can have a fully functional PC that looks, feels and acts like a tablet. With Surface Pro, customers can do virtually everything they have ever done on a PC, ranging from using their favorite desktop applications to enjoying the protection of world-class safety and security software. Surface RT is best described as a tablet with some laptop capabilities, weaving productivity and mobility into one beautiful product. It is great for those looking for all-day

1battery life and an entertainment-first experience with the ability to still get work done.
