HGC and Microsoft Hong Kong launch one-stop unified communications solutions based on Office 365

Hong Kong, 18 April 2016 Hutchison Global Communications Limited (HGC), the fixed-line division of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (HTHKH; stock code: 215), and Microsoft Hong Kong today announced a collaborative move to offer one-stop unified communications (UC) solutions for enterprises based on Office 365.

The launch will be in two phases to introduce the new solution to enterprises of all sizes. The first phase commences today to offer mainly project-based services, while the second phase will provide small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) with an option to choose flexible monthly plans with minimal capital outlay for establishing a network.

One-stop solution facilitates email and voice migration and integration

The proposition includes hassle-free migration of enterprise’s emails and voice capabilities to Office 365, with technology supported by HGC in partnership with Expert Systems IVR (Asia) Co. Limited, and OneVoice solution from AudioCodes.

HGC provides WiseNET CloudConnect for ExpressRoute, a private link between enterprises and Office 365, and IP-based voice connectivity in the form of SIP trunking – a VoIP based on the Session Initiation Protocol – which enables enterprises to benefit from voice-over-IP telephony.

Enterprise users of HGC-Microsoft UC solutions also benefit from the fact that HGC offers a single point of contact for mobile and fixed-line services, thanks to close collaboration with sister company 3 Hong Kong. With this revolutionary solution, employees can make phone calls and join audio/video conferences with the utmost ease, using mobile devices.

Diversified features to empower business to achieve more

Office 365 Enterprise E5 delivers the most comprehensive and secure solution for enterprises using Office Suite as well as the new Office 2016 apps for PC and Mac. Cutting-edge security practices and proactive monitoring allow enterprises to ensure high level of email data security through advanced compliance and privacy controls. Users are also empowered to enjoy mobility by being able to sync emails and calendars, to access and work on documents, and to connect with business partners anytime, anywhere.

Incorporated with Skype for Business, HGC-Microsoft UC solutions allow users to host and broadcast online meetings, do calls and video conferences, as well as share files and contents through one simple and unified platform. Cloud PBX enables call management features such as call transfer, voice mail and call forwarding to be managed right within Office 365, offering users easy and rapid access to the latest innovations. Most importantly, it eliminates separate PBX systems and transition to the cloud to reduce costs, and makes IT simple by allowing users to choose deployment options based on corporate needs. Office 365’s manageability and integration, with flexible deployment options, help facilitate anywhere access and seamless communications among staff and clients resided in different locations.

“Microsoft Hong Kong strives to empower people and businesses to achieve more in the modern workplace. In a technology converged world, our partnership with HGC allows us to expand the Office 365 ecosystem by providing a one-stop, new solution to enterprises looking to enhance productivity and efficiency. HGC-Microsoft UC solutions address the unique needs of individuals and businesses which are looking for an effective way to achieve more anytime, anywhere with any type of devices,” said Horace Chow, General Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong.
