Microsoft announces launch of modern, enterprise-ready intelligent business apps with the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft AppSource

Hong Kong, September 28, 2016 – Microsoft Hong Kong has announced the 1 November global availability of its new cloud service, Dynamics 365, which combines the best of Microsoft’s CRM and ERP cloud offerings into one service, providing an easier, end-to-end approach to cloud adoption for the enterprise.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a unified suite of cloud-based business applications that offers business customers the flexibility to choose individual modules to deploy and pay only for what they choose. Microsoft AppSource is a platform which incorporates Dynamics 365, Office 365, Cortana Intelligence and Azure and which allows customers to easily find and evaluate line of business SaaS apps, add-ins and content packs from Microsoft and its partners. AppSource is available in preview and customers can try out more than 200 solutions.

“Technology is transforming lives with apps and services that are simple, intuitive and deliver helpful assistance.  However, business apps and services are often, conversely, difficult to try, use and deploy – and this situation is often magnified where cloud is concerned,” said Horace Chow, General Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong. “Our goal is to realise a better experience for business users everywhere and this service is a transformational milestone in our vision for better business applications in the cloud.”

Helping customers drive their digital transformation with a new approach to business applications

Dynamics 365 apps are designed so they can be easily and independently deployed. This means business users can start small with right fit for their role, business or industry and pay only for what they need. Yet they work together seamlessly and fit into existing systems, so as the business demands, they can grow alongside additional capabilities with ease and all within the trusted Microsoft cloud.

Deep integration between Dynamics 365 and Office 365 connects the structured workflow of business applications and processes with the unstructured work of collaboration and productivity. This means employees are empowered with productivity tools surfaced in the context of their business processes.

Additionally, Microsoft is the only provider that infuses big data, advanced analytics and IoT into processes out-of-the-box to proactively guide employees and customers to optimal outcomes with predictive insights, prescriptive advice and actionable next steps. Data and insight are transformed into action for intelligence where it is needed.

“Dynamics 365 enables companies to adapt and innovate in real time with nimble, adaptable applications,” said Frank Holland, Corporate Vice President, Dynamics Worldwide Sales and Partners, Microsoft, who was in Hong Kong for today’s announcement. “Enterprises can now reimagine their business model with a common data model and a flexible, extensible business application platform. Dynamics 365 provides customers with a modern and familiar experience, with built-in insights, intelligence and workflow.”

Dynamics 365 also increases Microsoft’s partners’ ability to sell a more complete solution, increasing win rates, deal sizes, customer retention and resulting profitability. It also allows partners to more fully leverage all of Microsoft’s R&D investments across business applications, cloud, business productivity and analytics.

The Enterprise edition of Dynamics 365 will be available worldwide in November this year. The Business edition will be made available in the same timeframe in the US and Canada with a phased roll out to additional geographies.
