Microsoft Names New General Manager in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, July 4, 2017 — Microsoft Greater China Region (GCR) announced today that, after serving more than four years as the General Manager of Microsoft’s Hong Kong subsidiary, Horace Chow will be appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Microsoft China, effective immediately.

Alain Crozier, Corporate Vice President, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft GCR, said, “Horace is well known in the industry throughout the region and respected as a trusted advisor to customers. He has proven to be a strong people manager and business manager, striving to empower companies to transform through cloud. I could not be more pleased that he will be serving the company with a bigger responsibility in his new capacity to help our customers and partners on their digital transformation journey in China.”

Horace said of his new appointment, “Digital transformation in China is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and no business is in a better position to seize this opportunity than Microsoft. Cally Chan

Cally Chan will officially join Microsoft Hong Kong as General Manager starting 2 August. As the General Manager, Cally will be responsible for overall strategy, business operations and outreach for the company in Hong Kong and Macau. She will lead the executive team responsible for Microsoft’s business in Hong Kong including key customer organizations, business and marketing groups, and technical support and consultancy services.

Cally comes from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where she most recently served as Vice President of Enterprise Group and Managing Director for Hong Kong and Macau where she focused on increasing the value of HPE’s business portfolio, raising the bar on talent and providing leadership for customer satisfaction and business growth. She has more than 26 years’ experience with HP, spanning a variety of management roles across technology services, outsourcing services, enterprise infrastructure, IT consulting and more. Cally serves on boards and as a member of several influential technology industry and government advisory organizations.
