As Microsoft’s chief operating officer, Kevin Turner leads the company’s worldwide sales, field marketing, and services organization. He also manages support and partner channels, Microsoft stores, and corporate support functions including information technology, licensing and pricing, and operations. His organization of over 51,000 employees in more than 190 countries is responsible for delivering Microsoft’s family of products and services to customers and partners around the world to help them achieve more.
In his 10 years as chief operating officer, Turner has driven a strong track record of results, execution excellence and improved efficiency, while also driving customer satisfaction scores to the highest in company history. Microsoft ended fiscal year 2015 with 8 percent growth and $93.6 billion in revenue through his leadership on the company’s transformation.
Prior to his role at Microsoft, Turner spent nearly 20 years at Wal-Mart Stores, where he rose through the ranks and was the youngest corporate officer ever at age 29. He held various leadership positions at Wal-Mart, including chief information officer for Wal-Mart Stores and president and chief executive officer of SAM’S CLUB, a $37 billion division of Wal-Mart Stores.
