Harry Shum provides President Xi Jinping a demonstration of innovative technologies: Microsoft’s HoloLens, the world’s most advanced holographic computer, and real-time visualization of Big Data on an 82 inch Surface hub powered by Windows 10.
These Innovation Scenario demonstrations are held in the Microsoft Envisioning Center, which is located in the Executive Briefing Center. The Microsoft Envisioning Center features immersive, scenario-driven demonstrations that range from productivity explorations to entertainment. The demonstrations are developed to reflect work across Microsoft as a whole, from Microsoft Research and Office planning to other product groups. They illustrate scenarios that could become reality in the next five to ten years.
President Xi Jinping to view a showcase of China Technology Ecosystem (CTE) devices designed and manufactured by Chinese partners, based on Microsoft technology.

President Xi Jinping will stand for a picture and meet briefly with some of the technology industry leaders from both the U.S. and China, who attended a meeting of the U.S.-China Internet Industry Forum earlier in the day.
President Xi Jinping will present a gift to Qiu Yong, President, Tsinghua University and Ana Mari Cauce, Interim President, University of Washington to commemorate the groundbreaking partnership between the two universities to establish a new science and technology focused academic institute, the Global Innovation Exchange or GIX. Microsoft is a founding partner for GIX, and is providing $40 million in financial support. The gift, a Dawn Redwood tree, will be planted on the GIX campus once it’s completed.
