Microsoft to Support Vendors’ Announcements of New Services and Products at SUPERCOMM ’98

At SUPERCOMM ’98, Microsoft will support several key announcements of new services and products deployed on Windows NT Server. Applications vendors planning to make announcements at the show include Tandem, Deloitte & Touche, Ericsson, eFusion, Vertel, Digital Equipment, Nortel and others. Microsoft also will join forces with several other companies in a live showcase of product and service functionality spread across multiple exhibitor booths at SUPERCOMM ’98. This will highlight intelligent network services that are enabled by Windows NT Server and can be accessed and configured via the traditional telephone as well as Web browser-based interfaces.

Microsoft will provide two case studies of OSS deployment on Windows NT Server, by Williams Communications Group and cable communications giant Comcast Corp. In addition, a Microsoft white paper available at SUPERCOMM ’98 will discuss carrier-grade Windows NT Server-based systems. The paper will discuss the ability of Windows NT Server to scale up and down in price point for mass-market systems, interoperate with multiple operating systems, and deliver the availability, reliability and flexible performance that today’s complex networks demand. The case studies and white paper will be available at (http://www.microsoft.com/industry/) .
