MSN HomeAdvisor Introduces New Credit Center

REDMOND, Wash., Feb. 1, 2000 — The MSN TM HomeAdvisor TM online real estate service, the award-winning guide to finding homes and loans on the Web, today announced it has signed an exclusive, multiyear agreement with QSpace Inc., the Web’s largest provider of online credit reports. Now, consumers looking to buy, sell, rent or refinance a home can access detailed and instantaneous credit information. Complete credit reports can be requested online in the new Credit Center on HomeAdvisor, and, for only $4, consumers can know their entire credit history in seconds.

In addition to providing its customers with the tools to access instant credit reports, the HomeAdvisor Credit Center will offer the following:

  • Credit Analyzer. Provides a free* analysis of consumers’ credit status. Consumers simply answer a few easy questions based on factors such as income, debt and payment history. The Credit Analyzer can estimate borrowing potential and help identify possible credit problems.

  • Credit Resources. Informs consumers about credit and the institutions that store credit information, as well as about credit fraud and protection. Here, consumers can find tips and next steps if denied credit, and access a database of frequently asked questions about credit reports.

  • Merged Credit Report. Provides a side-by-side comparison of credit information at the three major credit reporting bureaus. The cost is $29.95.
