Interealty.com and HomeAdvisor Technologies Join Forces To Deliver Realty Desktop to More Than 260,000 Realtors

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 18, 2000 — Interealty.com, a leading provider of Internet-based technology for real estate professionals, has joined with HomeAdvisor Technologies Inc. to provide the Realty Desktop™ transaction management platform to Interealty’s more than 260,000 brokers and agents. Under the terms of the agreement, jointly announced today at the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) midyear conference in Washington, D.C., Interealty.com will integrate Realty Desktop exclusively into its suite of products, accessible to one in three Realtors nationwide who rely on Interealty.com’s technology solutions every day.

Realty Desktop, integrated with Interealty.com’s listing management solutions, enables brokers and agents to manage customer relationships and transactions more efficiently to maximize sales and profits and improve the overall customer experience. Through improved integration of all steps of the real estate transaction, agents and brokers will be able to close more transactions and focus on enhanced customer service by reducing the amount of paperwork and dual entry of data required in today’s systems.

“This agreement extends HomeAdvisor’s position as the leading supplier of transaction software to the real estate industry,”
said Scott Smith, business development manager for HomeAdvisor Technologies Inc.
“Interealty.com’s vision is a clear example of the phenomenal support Realty Desktop has received throughout the real estate industry. By combining Realty Desktop with Interealty.com’s listing management technology, we will create a Realtor-centric solution that will cut transaction costs, improve profitability and enhance business practices and operations.”

Developed as an open technology system based on XML standards, Realty Desktop enables agents and brokers to keep track of each new customer, as well as open houses, marketing and advertising plans, and even frequency of communication between agent and prospect via the Web.

In addition, the open platform of Realty Desktop allows brokers to build their own vendor network for transaction services, including mortgage, title and home-ownership services, creating a multitude of new ways for brokers and agents to generate more leads and expand their businesses into profitable new service areas. Brokers and agents also will be able to select from an array of national vendors already affiliated with Interealty.com and HomeAdvisor Technologies.

“The fit between our companies and technologies couldn’t be better,”
said Michael Harris, CEO of Interealty.com.
“HomeAdvisor Technologies has a proven transaction management platform with Realty Desktop that provides the agent and broker with unparalleled flexibility and control over converting prospects into customers for life. By combining that with Interealty.com’s ability to seamlessly integrate listings, tax and demographic data, and advertising information, we’re finally providing the integrated solution that the industry has been waiting for.”
