Microsoft Business Solutions Expects Record Attendance at Stampede

FARGO, N.D., Sept. 9, 2002 — Next week, Microsoft®
Business Solutions begins its 17th annual Stampede, a four-day international business conference for its alliance partners, value-added resellers (VARs), consultants and independent software vendors (ISVs) that distribute, support and develop integrated products for Microsoft Business Solutions applications. The conference will take place Tuesday, Sept. 17, through Friday, Sept. 20, in Minneapolis. A record-breaking attendance of more than 2,000 partners is expected.

Doug Burgum, senior vice president of Microsoft Corp. and president of Microsoft Business Solutions, will deliver a keynote address on Wednesday. During the conference, attendees will be introduced to new and expanded solutions, learn about key division and product strategies, view product demonstrations, and attend workshops. Stampede features the following events:

  • More than 120 solutions forums and concurrent sessions and more than 170 expo exhibits that allow attendees to learn about the latest Microsoft Business Solutions applications as well as enhancements and customizations available from ISVs and alliance partners

  • Fourteen supersessions that provide in-depth reviews of products, programs and systems

  • A recognition ceremony to honor outstanding achievements of the division’s global reselling channel partners
