8th Trailblazer Race Begins at Microsoft Mountain View Campus Sunday

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Sept. 26, 2002 — Sunday, Sept. 29, hundreds of Bay Area residents will participate in the Friends of Stevens Creek Trailblazer Race 2002 to benefit the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail, a nonprofit organization supporting the promotion and completion of the Stevens Creek Trail. Microsoft Corp. is the presenting sponsor of the event, and the event will kick off and culminate at the company’s Mountain View campus.

The Trailblazer Race consists of 10K and 5K races, a 5K trail walk, and children’s races on Stevens Creek Trail and through Shoreline Park. The event is designed to provide a day of fun family activities. After the race, participants and spectators can visit the Festival Area at the Microsoft Mountain View campus, where there will be refreshments and local vendor booths.

8:30 a.m. for the 10K and 5K races

10 a.m. for the children’s races
