DALLAS — March 21, 2006 — Microsoft Corp. will kick off Convergence 2006 later this week in Dallas. The Microsoft Business Solutions group’s customer conference will be held Saturday, March 25 through Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at the Dallas Convention Center.
The 10th annual Microsoft® Convergence event comprises an exceptional agenda of speakers, detailed product demonstrations and in-depth learning sessions. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Bill Gates, chairman and chief software architect of Microsoft; Jeff Raikes, president of the Microsoft Business Division; and Doug Burgum, senior vice president of the Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) group. Gates’ keynote address on March 27 will provide an overview and analysis of the challenges facing businesses and the technology steps to build a people-ready business.
“Over the past year, we’ve reaffirmed our commitment to delivering breakthrough innovation by aligning our development efforts with customers’ needs and their current technology environment,” Raikes said. “Convergence 2006 is certain to provide tremendous opportunity for Microsoft Business Solutions’ customers and partners to share ideas and knowledge. Together, we are building a new approach to supporting information workers in the 21st century with integrated, adaptable business management solutions to enable better decision-making, improve productivity and help increase the efficiency of business processes.”

In addition, those attending will gain firsthand knowledge about key issues that have an effect on business today, informing their choice of solutions that help them meet emerging challenges.
Convergence 2006 provides an opportunity for participants to benefit from interaction with peers, partners, Microsoft employees and top industry experts in structured and informal settings. The theme of this year’s event, Where It All Comes Together, reflects Convergence 2006’s goal to provide members of the Microsoft Dynamics™ community with time to share knowledge; discuss challenges, solutions and ideas; and network with others in similar industries.
