Experience Innovation at Tech Days From Windows Embedded

REDMOND, Wash. — Feb. 11, 2011 — What’s going on in Paris these days? How about a gathering of over 17,000 visitors, 140 partners and more than 300 experts meeting to participate, learn and train on the latest Microsoft products and gain insight into the hottest technology trends.

Developers, policy makers and more than 140 partners meet at Microsoft Tech Days at the Palais des Congres in Paris, France.

Windows Embedded was at the Microsoft-sponsored event, and we have some documentation to prove it! Recently, we posted some photos on our Flickr page that showcase how our partners such as Phosphorus, Feeltune, Reycom and Blurosso are utilizing Windows Embedded Standard 7 to demonstrate the endless possibilities within the realm of connected media devices. What’s more is the demonstrations showcased how Windows Embedded Standard 7, powered by the Windows Media Center feature, equips original equipment manufacturers with Windows 7 tools and technologies to develop innovative, connected experiences for consumers to experience in their living rooms.

You can also witness a unique vacuum cleaner developed by Samsung called the NaviBo, built on Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3. This innovative little product does your vacuuming for you, touts a 7-inch high-resolution capacitive screen, and is also showcased in the image set. These, along with the other demonstrations shown, are just a few of the next-generation devices Microsoft Corp. featured at Tech Days.

So make sure you drop by our Flickr page to see what some of these cool, innovative devices look like because they may be coming to a store near you soon!
