Manish Prakash
Managing Director (Public Sector), Microsoft Asia Pacific
As the Managing Director for Public Sector in Microsoft APAC, Manish is responsible for driving transformation engagements with governments throughout Asia Pacific. Bringing over 25 years of industry experience, Prakash leads Microsoft’s business strategy, revenue growth, and market development for the Public Sector across key markets and initiatives.
Prakash joined Microsoft in 2018, where he served as the Country Executive Director for Public Sector, Healthcare, and Education in India. In this role, Manish delivered the overall turnaround of the business in India and led several digital transformation initiatives to drive the adoption of Cloud/AI platforms at scale.
Prior to Microsoft, Prakash held executive leadership roles within the telecommunications and technology industry across Asia Pacific and Europe, including Telenor Group, Bharti Airtel, SK Group (Korea), IBM, and Accenture. Manish has also served on the Board of Telenor Cloud Services, Nxtra Data, and SK Group affiliate companies in Asia.
Prakash holds an MBA from INSEAD and has completed leadership programs at Harvard Business School. He also co-founded the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, an agency that promotes bilateral relationships and trade between India and South Korea. He is also a former member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
