As Vice President for Industry Sales in Microsoft Asia, Sandy is focused on bringing value to our customers and partner ecosystem across Asia. Leveraging his extensive global experience, he is responsible for aligning and building industry expertise and capability deep within the organization to elevate our customers’ success.
Sandy joined Microsoft in 2008 as the General Manager for Open Solutions, where he built a thriving ecosystem of open-source solution partners on Microsoft Cloud and server platforms. He has also served as Vice President, Public Sector Sales for Microsoft in China, where he spearheaded the transformation of industry verticals and established start-up incubation programs across the country to foster innovation, including the building of citizen-centric smart cities.
Before moving to Singapore in 2019, Sandy was Vice President for Microsoft’s global Industry team in Seattle. There, he accelerated the development of Microsoft’s vertical industry focus, established strategic collaborations, and helped businesses across segments innovate.
Prior to joining Microsoft, he spent more than 15 years successfully Leadership roles Unix Industry across a range of industries.
Sandy is passionate about widening access to technology and unlocking its ability to empower change for companies and people. His commitment to ensuring people can fulfil their highest potential has seen him play a leadership role across Microsoft in sponsoring and promoting inclusion, diversity, and allyship in many forms. He has also created a thought leadership forum where business leaders from across the region share their perspectives on how organizations can confront climate change and commit to sustainability.
Sandy is an alumnus of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He is married with two children, lives in Singapore, and is a marathon runner.
