Unterschleißheim, 05. März 2012. Feuerwehr, Polizei und Ambulanz können durch Offenheit und Interoperabilität in der Cloud ihre bestehenden IT-Systeme besser vernetzen, kosteneffizienter nutzen und flexibler im Ernstfall einsetzen. Das Landesamt für Zentrale Polizeiliche Dienste (LZPD) NRW erprobt im Rahmen seiner Beteiligung am Forschungsprojekt SPIDER* den Einsatz von Windows Azure für die Kommunikation der Helfer. Das Forschungsprojekt SPIDER wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung im Rahmen des Programms „Forschung für die zivile Sicherheit” gefördert.
