Social media sensation and one of the most talked about men on the internet, Isaiah Mustafa, jetted in to Sydney today to launch the next generation in smart phone technology, the new Windows Phone, which goes on sale Thursday 21 October.
With the help of some Aussie lifesavers, Isaiah received a few surfing tips on Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, while he offered some web “surfing” tips of his own using the new Windows Phone.
With more than 20 million hits on You Tube and thousands of followers on Facebook and Twitter, Isaiah Mustafa is a social media phenomenon – able to stay in touch and post updates on-the-go with the help of smartphone technology.
Delighted to be in Australia, Isaiah credits his success to an increasing frequency in sharing information virally and communicating speedily through social networks.
“Overnight, I became one of the most hit on men on the internet, so it just shows you the power of social media. I never expected my life would change so quickly, but here I am Down Under for the launch of Windows Phone, soaking up the sun and ‘surfing’ with Aussie lifesavers,” said Isaiah Mustafa.
The only phone with Internet Explorer Mobile to quickly surf the web while on the move, means Isaiah Mustafa spends less time waiting and has more time for surfing the Bondi swell, while staying in touch with his social networks.
“I love this phone because it connects me to the people I care about most, with real time updates from the web and the status updates of my friends – I’m definitely looking forward to connecting with plenty of Aussies on my trip”, concluded Mr Mustafa.
A revolutionary new platform for handsets, the new Windows Phone is the only phone with Live Tiles, designed to let you get to what you love easier and faster.
“We have created a different kind of phone with new experiences that bring together what people care about most, in just one touch”, said Sheau-Lan Reed, Director, Mobile Communication Business, Microsoft Australia.
“The focus is on people and what we do every day, helping to make everyday tasks easier and faster. It’s a glance and go experience, it’s simply designed to do more in fewer steps,” concluded Ms Reed.
With a host of features , the new Windows Phone ‘hubs’ are a hallmark experience for organising information on a phone. They bring together a related set of applications, services and content into accessible ’tiles’ at just one touch. The new Windows Phone platform will be available on a variety of handsets including Samsung, LG and HTC on the Telstra, Optus and Vodafone networks.
