Microsoft Australia today announced the appointment of Ms Michelle Tea as services director for Microsoft Australia.
As services director, Michelle is responsible for the consulting and enterprise support division of Microsoft Australia. This division helps businesses maximise the return on their investment in Microsoft products and technologies. Michelle will oversee a team of experts that accelerate adoption, streamline deployment and optimise the use of Microsoft IT solutions as well as develop new IT initiatives for customers to deliver business value.
“Michelle comes to this strategic role with a strong track record in managing IT services delivery to Australian businesses,” said Pip Marlow, managing director, Microsoft Australia. “Her strong operational expertise, combined with her commitment to our customers and partners, will further enable our services team to help our enterprise and public sector customers succeed, particularly as they evaluate and move to cloud solutions.”
Michelle joined Microsoft Australia in 2008 as NSW public sector director, before being promoted to the role of OEM director where she was responsible for directing Microsoft Australia’s business with its partners, including OEMs, distributors, resellers and retailers, to ensure a healthy sales ecosystem. Michelle has worked in the information technology and services sector for 23 years and prior to joining Microsoft Australia held senior roles with Dimension Data including NSW state manager.

For me, the services business is about our customers and how Microsoft’s people can collaborate with them to make a positive difference,” said Michelle. “I look forward to joining the strong services team at Microsoft and doing some great things together with our customers.”
