Today, we’re pleased to announce the next phase of our distribution program for Surface RT and Surface Pro for our commercial, education and public sector customers in Australia. Microsoft’s global approach has been to expand commercial distribution for Surface in a thoughtful way. This expansion continues to be via a select ecosystem of established channel partners with the precise geographical reach, device selling experience and commercial value-added services capabilities to deliver the type of business experience our customers need.
In Australia, we are partnering with distributors, Ingram Micro and Synnex Australia, and a designated group of authorised commercial resellers, including:
Brennan IT Pty Ltd
Computelec Pty Ltd
Computer Systems (Australia) Pty Ltd
Data #3 Ltd
Datacom Systems Pty Ltd
Dimension Data Australia Pty Ltd
Ensyst Pty Ltd
e-Volve Corporate Technology Pty Ltd
Insight Enterprises Pty Ltd
Staples Australia Pty Ltd
Stott & Hoare Business Computers Pty Ltd
The Somerville Group Pty Ltd
Triforce Australia Pty Ltd
In addition to offering Microsoft’s extended warranty and accidental damage, these resellers bring a variety of value-added services to the Surface family including asset tagging, custom imaging, kitting, onsite service and support, device recycling, and data protection.
From my conversations with commercial customers, I know that there is a lot excitement and interest in Surface for workplaces across Australia. Customers tell us that Surface helps to meet growing workforce needs around mobility and in satisfying the expectations of their employees for great devices coupled with exciting services and app experiences. Ease of management and the ability to integrate Surface more seamlessly into existing IT environments are other big factors that are driving customer interest.
Building on today’s announcement, we’re looking forward to introducing even more customers in more places to the powerful productivity that Surface makes possible.
