Executive Biographies

As the leader of our newly formed Financial Services Industry team, Duncan is responsible for working with Microsoft’s financial services clients in Australia and New Zealand to deliver and develop digital transformation initiatives across banking, insurance, superannuation & wealth sectors.

With a career spanning over 15 years at Microsoft, Duncan previously led Microsoft’s consulting business across ANZ, with a focus on Commercial industries and Government. Duncan is passionate about delivering client success and driving partnerships that can positively impact economic and social outcomes in the region.

Prior to this, Duncan was part of the Enterprise Commercial team who was responsible for Microsoft’s largest financial services clients. Before this, Duncan spent 8 years with Microsoft in the UK where he established and led the first Microsoft cloud team. A key element he played across these roles was connecting clients’ needs to Microsoft’s cloud strategy and roadmap to ensure specific client and Industry needs were being serviced to enable digital transformation at scale.

Before joining Microsoft, Duncan held sales and leadership roles within the telecommunications Industry most notably at British Telecom and Telstra. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney and is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
