As the Marketing and Operations Director, Rachel is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies across the full range of Microsoft’s products and services in Australia. She also leads the business operations for the local subsidiary including long-term planning initiatives. As part of this role, Rachel is also responsible for the Small and Medium Business including supporting our customer’s success by continuing to build a world-class digital and marketing organisation to capture the immense growth opportunity within Australia’s SMB market.
Rachel has earned a reputation as a top marketer for her uncompromising focus on delighting customers and delivering business results. Prior to this role, Rachel was in the Corporate Marketing Team and recently held the leadership position of General Manager for Office 365 and Skype marketing. In this role, she led global digital marketing, channel management, product marketing and lifecycle management for a broad set of cloud services in both the consumer, small business and commercial sectors. She was also responsible for go-to-market direction for more than 30 worldwide subsidiaries and works closely with third parties to develop strategic and incubation partnerships
Rachel began her career at Microsoft in the Australia subsidiary as a partner account manager and moved to the Microsoft headquarter team in 1999. She earned her Bill Gates Chairman’s Award in 2001 and been a senior leader in the Corporate Marketing team for many years
Rachel holds her degree in education from University of Queensland in Australia. She is thrilled to have returned to Sydney after many years working abroad and outside of work is enjoying exploring Sydney beaches with her husband and two young daughters.
