Xbox Canada and Paidia Gaming Partner to Up-Level Inclusive and Accessible Gaming

Integrated partnership will include Gameplay, Events and Mixers, Content Series and more

TORONTO, Jan 12, 2023 – Xbox Canada and Paidia – a women-led gaming, technology and media company – have kicked off 2023 by announcing an extension of its exclusive partnership to accelerate both brands’ ongoing commitment to gender equality, diversity and inclusion in gaming and esports.

Since Paidia’s beta launch in January 2022, Xbox Canada has been a proud founding partner, committed to building a brighter future for women and diverse gamers . In 2023, both brands will continue to connect their communities through games with an integrated strategy leveraging Paidia’s platform of media and content, tournaments and gameplay, social and loyal community.

What gamers can get excited about:

 

  • In Person Mixers: Paidia Gaming, MYNNO and Xbox Canada will host monthly mixers at the Red Bull Gaming Studio in Toronto to celebrate the importance of gender equality, diversity and inclusion in gaming and esports.  Hosted by Camille Salazar Hadaway and Kurston Timothy, each event will include fun gaming experiences as well as intimate conversations with some of the most notable community leaders in Canada shifting culture and disrupting the industry.
  • Tournament Series:  Ongoing tournament series to give diverse gamers an opportunity to play with their communities and master their skills in a safe and inclusive online space.  Xbox and Paidia have already hosted multiple tournaments together including a women’s 2v2 Halo Series.
  • Collegiate Women in Esports:  Creating an inclusive and safe place for collegiate women to compete at the top of their game. Alongside EsportsU, Paidia and Xbox will host a matchmaking season and qualifier to send the first all women’s team to the CECC National Finals.
  • Editorial and Content Series: Ongoing editorial and video content to educate and inspire.  Tournament organisers, casters, players, together we will provide resources to up-level and support.
