By now, New Year’s resolutions to get fit, take a cooking course or see more of the world are all but a distant memory. Cold winter days and busy lives can make it difficult to stay motivated. However, Bing has now released three apps for Windows Phone 8 providing tools to help keep these resolutions on track – Bing Health & Fitness, Bing Food & Drink and Bing Travel.
All three include the same features and content of the Windows 8.1 PC and tablet apps, plus a few new additions such as roaming. This new feature lets you sync all your personal settings across Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8 devices. Simply log in with the same Microsoft Account on all devices and set synchronisation to synchronise your information and settings across all your screens.
Fitness for Windows Phone 8
Bing Health & Fitness is designed to be an all-in-one tool for wellness. The app brings together nutrition, fitness and medical information, hundreds of workouts and tools that can be customised to make smart choices for a healthier you. The apps can automatically update so that your progress is tracked across all Windows devices. So if you use the GPS tracker in your Windows Phone 8 app on your run, once you’re done it will automatically sync all the details like the distance you ran, calories burned etc across any Windows 8.1 that you have the app installed on. As well as GPS it has a diet tracker and cardio tracker installed so you can monitor your input vs output and make sure you’re on target to achieve your health goals.
There’s also the more than 1,000 fitness instruction videos for workouts like strength training, yoga and Pilates.
