Bringing football to life like never before

As one of the world’s greatest sporting events is fast approaching, Microsoft Studios have been working hard to make watching football more immersive than ever before.

At their new state-of-the-art HQ in London, Soho Productions have capitalised on the power and performance of Xbox One to create Brazil Now – an ambitious app that creates a tailored viewing experience based on your team preferences.

Launching in June, Brazil Now is powered by Bing and delivers real-time data, streamed live from the cloud, for the whole tournament – every group, every match and every player. It also pulls in content from Twitter to keep you in the conversation with the rest of the world.

Capitalising on the console’s unique HDMI pass-through, users will receive line-ups, group information, player pages and action photos from the stadium for every game. During matches, interactive polls will gauge the opinions of the Xbox Live community and show your friends’ results.

The entire experience is fully localised in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, while automatic notifications and updates can be set for your most anticipated matches. The app will also re-skin depending on what team you select to support, with a relevant Twitter feed providing opinion and team news.

The app can also be snapped and set to provide match alerts, goal updates and full-time scores if you are playing a game or watching something else. Notifications will let you know when a match is about to begin or a goal is scored, allowing you to click through to watch live.

Also premiering in June is “Every Street United” – an original, unscripted series featuring football legends Thierry Henry and Edgar Davids. It centres on a global search for football’s undiscovered street stars, and sees the pair undertake scouting mission across eight countries. The series culminates in July in a 4v4 street game finale in the shadow of the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.

Experience the action, the agony, the sacrifice and the triumph – all on Xbox One.
