Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway, steeped in 200 years of history and representing one of the oldest railway lines in the world, faced up to a very 21st century problem when it committed to modernise its aged IT infrastructure. Its system was suffering from frequent outages and couldn’t keep pace with the fast expanding network of employees and volunteers.
