Picture the scene, festival fans: now you CAN share the moment

It’s beginning to look a lot like summer, as Glastonbury, Reading, Isle of Wight and all the other great British festivals come around once again. For tens of thousands of fans that means the season of mud, tents and unquestionably great music – and whether it’s Kasabian, Arcade Fire, Metallica or, er, Dolly Parton who rocks your musical world, there’s stacks of incredible live acts doing the rounds on the festival circuit in 2014.

Thing is, though – as anyone who’s ever been in a field surrounded by hordes of fellow festival-goers will know – it’s never possible to get any signal when you’re stuck in a crowd. And if your smartphone is out of action, it means all those great images you want to share with mates can go to waste.

However, fear not, festival fans, for help is at hand with a cool new app called FlickPic – which allows you to share photos however many people are blocking up your signal. And all with a simple flick of the wrist. No Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G or Data connection? No sweat (even if you’ve been wearing the same clothes all weekend) because FlickPic means you can rapidly share photos to multiple devices, by flicking your handset. Even if your friend is 20 metres away.

In fact it sounds too good to be true – so we sent our resident festival expert (and her best mate) with a couple of Nokia 1020s to test it out at the uber cool Field Day weekend in east London earlier this month. Looks like a pretty good time was had by all…
