Instagrammers, YouTubers and Bloggers help students think about the future

This week, thousands of UK students will be thinking of only one thing – their AS- and A-level results. But how many of them are certain about which career path to follow after education? We have dug deep into the attitudes young UK adults have towards their future careers. In a poll of over 1,000 18-24 year olds, we found that:

o   18-24 year olds are now the ‘And’ generation where they see themselves working the day job but following a side line career in something they are passionate about – 73% say this is something they would either consider, plan to do or are already doing.

o   Over a third (38%) of 18 to 24 year olds admit they don’t have a clear idea of what they plan to do after leaving full time education.

o   A quarter (24%) of 18 to 24 year olds didn’t feel they knew about all of the career options they could explore

With so many different career options open to today’s young adults, it’s not surprising that many feel uncertain about which path to take. However, with the majority prioritising their passions over prescription, and many looking towards entrepreneurial ways of working, what better way to kick start their career inspiration than with the help of people who have done just that? We have enlisted 25 of the UK’s top Blogger, YouTube & Instagram talent, including Jim Chapman, Doug Armstrong and Raphael Gomes to show the vast array of career options, that students have available to them – check out the video below to find out more!
