Microsoft’s search engine has predicted the results of upcoming football matches in England, and believes there is a 41% chance Antonio Conte’s men will beat Jurgen Klopp’s team. Liverpool have a 33% chance of winning, Bing revealed.
Chelsea will move to the top of the Premier League if they win on Friday, as leaders Manchester City play on Saturday. David Luiz, who signed for the Blues from PSG on transfer deadline day for £34 million two years after being sold for £50 million, is expected to make his first start of the season.
In other predictions, Bournemouth have just a 4% chance of victory away at Manchester City, who have won all four of their Premier League matches this season, while Manchester United should beat Watford and Arsenal will take all three points against Hull City.
Bing came up with its predictions using a complex algorithm that looks at player performance.
Bing also revealed that Arsene Wenger’s team, who have suffered a slow start to the season, were the most searched-for team in the past week, with 450% more searches than second-placed Manchester United. Liverpool took third place, Everton were fourth and Chelsea fifth.
Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney was the most searched-for player in the past week, receiving 100% more online searches than his teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who came second. Rooney has sparked debate recently following his deep-lying role in England’s win over Slovakia last week, with fans questioning where his best position is.
Man U’s teenage striker Marcus Rashford was the third most searched-for footballer, with goalkeeper Joe Hart – who recently made his debut for Italian club Torino after joining on loan – and midfielder Jack Wilshere rounding off the top five.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe topped the list of managers that fans wanted to know about, racking up 65% more searches than Chelsea’s Conte. West Brom’s Tony Pulis, Sunderland’s David Moyes and Leicester’s Claudio Ranieri completed the top five.
