People in the UK bought more Xbox Ones than any other games console in October, new research has revealed.
Figures from leading market research company GfK Entertainment revealed that Microsoft’s console was the best-selling product of its kind for the second consecutive month.
Microsoft has launched a range of Xbox One S bundles in recent weeks following the release of the hi-tech console.
Harvey Eagle, Xbox UK Marketing Director, said: “It’s great to see such enthusiasm for the new Xbox One S, as well as the range of exclusive bundles including FIFA 17, Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1 and now – for the first time – Minecraft. All of which are available to purchase now.
“The Xbox One S is the only console available with built-in UHD 4K Blu-ray, 4K video streaming and HDR for gaming and video. Couple this with fantastic value for money and acclaimed blockbuster games including Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4, and the imminent Dead Rising 4, and there has never been a better time to own an Xbox One.”
Microsoft has released seven Xbox One S bundles so far:
- Gears of War 4 Limited Edition Bundle – features battle-weathered custom console with a two-terabyte (TB) hard drive, laser-etched scratches, a bloody thumbprint on the controller’s red metallic directional pad and the iconic Crimson Omen logo on the wireless controller. It also includes a copy of Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition for Xbox One and Windows 10
- Gears of War 4 Bundle – comes with a Robot White Xbox One S with a 1TB hard drive, a matching wireless controller and copy of Gears of War 4 for Xbox One and Windows 10
- Minecraft Favourites Bundle – includes more than 230 character skins and additional content packs alongside Minecraft for Xbox One and Windows 10. Transfer your existing Xbox 360 worlds over to the Xbox One Edition, and enjoy building new ones that are up to 16 times bigger
- Battlefield 1 Special Edition Bundle – features a military green console with matching stand and controller, a copy of Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, the Hellfighter Pack, Red Baron Pack, Lawrence of Arabia Pack, a new visual appearance of the Behemoths, five Battlepacks and one month of EA Access
