Manchester City to close gap on Chelsea at top of Premier League, Bing predicts

Manchester City will close the gap on Premier League leaders Chelsea tonight by beating Stoke City, Bing has predicted.

Pep Guardiola’s men have won three out of their last four encounters against Stoke, scoring four goals in each victory. Their expected win tonight (78% chance) will see them leapfrog Tottenham into second-place, eight points behind Chelsea.

Spurs were due to play Crystal Palace on Saturday but that match has been postponed thanks to their FA Cup fixture against Millwall on Sunday.

Arsenal, who are still currently sitting just outside the top four, will also have their weekend match against Leicester City postponed, due to their FA Cup tie against Lincoln City.

Liverpool look set to remain in fourth place. Bing rates their chances of victory against Burnley at Anfield on Sunday at 78%, leaving the Reds on 55 points – one point shy of Tottenham in third.

Chelsea and Manchester United will remain in first and sixth place respectively, as both teams rest ahead of their FA Cup clash on Monday night.

Hull, Everton and Bournemouth are all expected to win their respected matches against Swansea, West Brom and West Ham on Saturday, with the only resulting shift in table position belonging to Hull, who move up from 19th to 18th place.
