Spurs to close in on Chelsea after Blues lose to Manchester United, Bing predicts

Tottenham are expected to be a mere four points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea by the end of this weekend, Bing predicts.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are expected to walk away from their match against Bournemouth with three points, while Manchester United  have a 41% chance of beating Chelsea at Old Trafford.

While United are without a win in eight Premier League matches against the Blues, their current 21-match unbeaten run is the joint-10th longest streak without defeat in the history of the top flight.

If Microsoft’s search engine proves to be correct, those two results will leave Spurs with 71 points, while Chelsea will stay on 75.

Manchester United’s victory still won’t be enough to nab them a top-four position, however. Manchester City are expected to win their match against Southampton, retaining fourth place.

Liverpool are expected to walk away from West Brom with a victory, cementing their position below Tottenham in third place.

Elsewhere in the table, Everton, Stoke, West Ham and Crystal Palace will all move up, thanks to their respective victories against Burnley, Hull, Sunderland and Leicester City.

Arsenal, who are predicted to win their match against Middlesbrough, will remain in sixth place, assuming they’ll still have a larger goal difference than Everton. They will both be on 57 points.

The Gunners have an 80% chance of walking away with a win, although Middlesbrough’s unbeaten record in their past four matches is likely to be weighing heavily on Arsène Wenger’s mind, especially after his team’s shock defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday.

Bing creates its predictions using a complex algorithm that analyses player performance.
