Microsoft and NCC just made moving to the cloud even easier

Organisations can now embrace the cloud with confidence thanks to a new product developed by cyber security experts NCC Group and Microsoft.

Escrow as a Service (EaaS) takes care of compliance and ensures companies continue to run smoothly as they join the Azure cloud platform. EaaS is already being used in sectors such as insurance, banking and retail.

EaaS includes state-of-the-art protection and legal contracts, creating a robust and resilient system in the cloud for the most sensitive and critical parts of a business.

Ollie Whitehouse, Global Chief Technical Officer at NCC, said: “Our increasingly connected world is accelerating towards a future based in the cloud. As a business, we are continuously innovating to protect and secure our customers’ critical assets. Escrow as a Service marks a huge step forward in providing a complete cloud resilience solution for business, giving confidence and peace of mind to innovate with new and emerging technology.”

Currently, EaaS offers two different solutions. The first of these is Access, offering users the ability to directly access their servers on the cloud if they would like to use their own applications. The second solution, Replicate, duplicates data so customers can access a mirrored version of the information they produce. These are the first in a planned series of cloud solutions to be released by NCC Group.

Michael Wignall, Director of Azure Business at Microsoft UK, said: “Escrow as a Service is enabling organisations to meet modern business challenges, while realising the many benefits of cloud technology. We have already seen companies in the retail and financial sectors adopt this solution and embrace a new way of working that’s fit for the 21st century and into the future. We are excited about this collaboration with NCC Group.”

These new capabilities reassure customers that their data is entirely accessible in the cloud. They have been developed using NCC Group’s 30 years of security knowledge and Microsoft’s market-leading cloud expertise.

Microsoft operates 54 Azure regions – more than any other cloud provider – and the platform is used by 95% of Fortune 500 companies.
